Five elementary schools showed improvement in their academic performance according to the latest Texas Education Agency accountability ratings. These schools had previously been underperforming.
The overall rating for the school district slipped, however, dropping from a B to a C. This change was reflected in a decrease from an 80 to a 76 rating.
