Denton County property taxes, collected by the Denton County Tax Assessor-Collector, must be paid on or before January 31 to be timely — online payments count if made by 11:59 p.m. Central on January 31. Unpaid taxes begin accruing penalty (up to 12%) and interest that grows monthly starting February 1.
